A little bit about you:

One of my main passions is veganism and everything that comes with it. I went vegan 3 years ago, and it’s turned me into a bit of a foodie. I have a food Instagram account and I enjoy cooking and baking for myself and others, dining out, and basically anything food related!

I have quite an eclectic mix of interests I think – cats are my other main passion as I have 3 of my own, and I also do volunteer work and work as a catsitter.

Being in nature makes me happy and I love exploring Scotland via walks and road trips. I’m always taking photos when out and about but I’m an extreme amateur! I also love fashion, music and going to gigs.

On top of all that, I have degrees in Animal Biology and Forensic Science so I’m always keeping up to date with science and crime.

Your skin and body issues:

Large, open pores on face; Dark circles under eyes and eye bags; Very thin hair

How has your Rare Beauty journey been so far?

I started out as a relative newbie to natural beauty and had only tried a few natural products. Rare Beauty has allowed me to expand and try new products I might not have tried otherwise, and has introduced me to some fab brands. It’s been great learning about all the different ingredients used, and it’s reassuring to know these products are so much more environmentally-friendly. I’ll definitely be looking out for natural products in future, and supporting small businesses too. I’ve been sharing all my experiences with my friends and am looking forward to talking about them on Facebook beauty groups when I’ve tried some more products.

What does being a woman mean for you in 2018 (the Centenary Year)?

I’m so proud to be a woman in 2018 as we look back on what other women have done throughout history for us. It’s also great to finally see this societal shift in the last year or so that has produced movements like #metoo and Time’s Up – these have really helped to empower women. I really hope we can all continue to work together to tackle the patriarchy and obtain true equality.
