This highly moisturising and soothing buttery salve is formulated specifically for those suffering from dry, flaky skin, and can be helpful for those with eczema or psoriasis. It contains many wonderful ingredients like shea butter, calendula oil, and violet leaf extract, to soothe and care for your skin.

The Magic:

Shea butter – nourishes the skin with Vitamins A, E and F. Vitamins A and E help maintain the skin and keep it clear and healthy. Vitamin F acts as a skin protector and rejuvenator. It soothes rough, dry or chapped skin.

Sesame oil – this oil’s high vitamin E content, in particular, makes it a good choice for those with eczema because vitamin E’s natural healing properties soothe itching and burning, help to eliminate swelling and decrease redness.

Sweet violet leaf – used for a wide variety of skin disorders, from nappy rash to varicose ulcers, violet leaf is beneficial for skin rashes and irritant eczema.

Calendula officinalis – has been used for many years for a wide range of skin problems. The flowers of the “pot marigold” plant have long been famous for their healing character, especially where there is inflammation and irritation.

Customer feedback has shown Calendula & Sweet Violet Seriously Soothing Salve to relieve the itchiness and irritation that accompanies eczema, as well as improving the look and feel of the skin generally.

Lynda's review - Calendula & Sweet Violet Seriously Soothing Salve

Cold, blustery weather is the bane of my dry skin so I’m always on the hunt for a good balm. However I get a bit Goldilocks and they need to be just right. Rich and nourishing but not too waxy that they just coat your skin in grease.

The Freyaluna Seriously Soothing Salve ticks my boxes with a whipped texture that melts on contact with the skin. It is very rich though so go easy, you need to use less than you think. The scent is quite mild with the merest hint of parma violets and lavender. This is great for my hands, feet, knees and basically banishes any dry patches.  I wouldn’t use this on my face though, which doesn’t get on with coconut oil.

Also worth noting that as it’s made with plant butters and oils with no beeswax, it’s a vegan friendly balm. Keeping this in the handbag for serious skin SOS.”
